Referral Programme Terms

1. Overview

The GrowDo Referral Programme ("Programme") allows existing GrowDo users ("Referrers") to invite new users ("Referred Users") to join GrowDo. When a Referred User subscribes to a paid plan and completes the confirmation period, the Referrer earns 1 free month of their subscription.

2. Eligibility

• You must have a GrowDo account in good standing to participate.
• Both free and paid users may refer others.
• Referred Users must be new to GrowDo — they must not have previously held a paid subscription.
• Self-referrals are strictly prohibited.

3. Reward: 1 Free Month Per Referral

3.1 How It Works

• Each successful referral earns you 1 free month of your current subscription.
• Monthly subscribers: Your next payment is skipped entirely — you pay nothing for one billing cycle.
• Annual subscribers: Your subscription renewal date is extended by 1 month per referral credit.
• There is no cash equivalent. Referral rewards can only be applied as free subscription time.

3.2 Maximum Credits

You may accumulate up to 10 free months through the Referral Programme. Once you reach 10 referral credits, you must join the Affiliate Programme to continue earning rewards (which offers cash commission instead of free months).

3.3 Confirmation Period (28 Days)

A referral is considered "successful" only after a 28-day confirmation period:

• 14-day trial period — the referred user's initial free trial
• + 14-day cooling-off period — after the trial ends and payment begins

The referral credit is only awarded once the referred user has been a paying subscriber for at least 14 days after their trial ends (28 days total from account creation). If the referred user cancels or requests a refund during this period, the credit is not awarded.

3.4 When Credits Are Applied

• Once a credit is confirmed, it is applied automatically to your next billing cycle.
• If you are a free user when the credit is earned, it will be held and applied when you subscribe to a paid plan.
• Credits are applied one at a time — one free month per billing cycle.

4. Conversion Window

• Referred users must convert to a paid subscription within 44 days of creating their account (14-day trial + 30 days).
• If a user creates a free account and converts after this window (e.g. during a later promotional sale), the referral credit is not awarded.

5. Referral Links & Tracking

• Each Referrer receives a unique referral code and link.
• Referrals are tracked via a 30-day cookie.
• Only the first referral link clicked is honoured.
• Sharing your garden also sets a referral attribution — if someone signs up after viewing your shared garden, you receive the referral credit.

6. Affiliate Programme Upgrade

Once you reach 10 successful referrals (or the 10-month credit cap), you are encouraged to apply for the GrowDo Affiliate Programme, which offers 20% cash commission on referred subscriptions instead of free months. The Affiliate Programme has its own eligibility requirements and terms.

7. Anti-Fraud & Fair Use

• GrowDo reserves the right to disqualify referrals obtained through fraud or abuse.
• Creating fake accounts to generate referrals is strictly prohibited.
• Referral links must not be promoted through spam or misleading advertising.

8. Changes & Termination

• GrowDo may modify or discontinue the Programme with reasonable notice.
• Earned but undelivered credits will be honoured if the Programme is terminated.
• These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
