By accessing or using GrowDo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

GrowDo is a gardening planning and management application that helps users:

Create personalized planting schedules
Track seeds and garden inventory
Manage gardening tasks and reminders
Access weather-based recommendations
Store and organize garden data
Identify plants using AI-powered image recognition (GrowDo Vision)
Receive AI-generated gardening advice and recommendations (Ask GrowDo)
View AI-enriched plant data including growing conditions, companion planting, and toxicity information

Several features of the Service use third-party artificial intelligence (AI) and large language model (LLM) technologies to generate content, identify plants, and provide recommendations. Please refer to Section 8 (Disclaimers) for important information about the limitations and risks of AI-generated content.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information
Maintain the security of your password
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
Be responsible for all activities under your account

3.2 Account Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Subscription Plans

4.1 Free Trial

New users receive a 30-day Premium trial. After the trial period, your account will revert to the Free tier unless you subscribe.

4.2 Premium Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are available on monthly or annual basis:

Monthly: Billed monthly, cancel anytime
Annual: Billed annually, cancel anytime with prorated refund
Lifetime: One-time payment, no recurring charges

4.3 Payment Terms

All payments are processed through Stripe
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
Prices may change with 30 days notice
Existing subscribers keep their rate for their current billing cycle

4.4 Refund Policy

Monthly subscriptions: No refunds for partial months
Annual subscriptions: Prorated refund if cancelled within first 30 days
Lifetime deals: 30-day money-back guarantee
Refunds processed within 7-10 business days

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial gardening planning purposes.

5.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

Violate any laws or regulations
Share your account credentials with others
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Reverse engineer or decompile the Service
Use the Service for any automated or commercial scraping
Upload malicious code or viruses
Interfere with other users' access to the Service
Impersonate another person or entity

6. User Content

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the Service, including:

8. Disclaimers

Gardening Advice

The Service provides general gardening information and recommendations. We are not responsible for crop failures, pest issues, or other gardening outcomes. Always consult local agricultural experts and consider your specific growing conditions.

AI-Generated Content & Third-Party Data

GrowDo uses third-party artificial intelligence and large language model (LLM) services — including but not limited to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Perplexity — to provide plant identification, gardening advice, plant data enrichment, task suggestions, and other features. This AI-generated content:

May contain inaccuracies, errors, or omissions. AI models can produce incorrect, outdated, or misleading information.
Should not be treated as professional or expert advice. Always verify AI-generated information against authoritative, independent sources.
Is provided for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute professional horticultural, botanical, medical, or safety advice.
May change without notice as AI models are updated by their respective providers.

GrowDo does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content. You use such content entirely at your own risk.

Plant Safety, Toxicity & Edibility

GrowDo does not guarantee the accuracy of any plant identification, toxicity classification, or edibility information. Many plants are toxic, poisonous, or cause severe allergic reactions. Some deadly species closely resemble safe ones.

Never consume any plant, fruit, berry, leaf, root, or fungus based solely on information provided by GrowDo or its AI features.
Fungi and mushrooms are particularly dangerous. Visual identification of fungi from photographs is inherently unreliable. Many deadly mushroom species are virtually indistinguishable from edible ones without expert laboratory analysis.
Always consult a qualified professional — such as a botanist, mycologist, poison control centre, or local agricultural extension service — before consuming, handling, or exposing yourself, children, or pets to any plant you are unsure about.
Allergic reactions can occur with any plant, even those generally considered safe. If you experience any adverse reaction after contact with a plant, seek medical attention immediately.
Pet and child safety: Many common garden plants are toxic to animals and children. Toxicity information shown in GrowDo is indicative only and may be incomplete or inaccurate.

GrowDo expressly disclaims all liability for any injury, illness, death, or damage arising from reliance on plant identification, toxicity data, or edibility information provided through the Service.

Weather Data

Weather data and forecasts are provided by third-party services and may not be accurate. Do not rely solely on our weather information for critical decisions.

Service Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that defects will be corrected.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, loss of profits, or loss of data
Our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid to GrowDo in the 12 months preceding the claim
We are not responsible for data loss (though we maintain regular backups)
We are not liable for the actions, omissions, or outputs of third-party services, including AI/LLM providers, weather APIs, and payment processors
We are not liable for any harm, injury, illness, or death resulting from reliance on plant identification, toxicity information, edibility data, or any other information provided by the Service or its AI features
We are not liable for any allergic reactions, poisoning, or adverse health effects resulting from contact with or consumption of any plant identified, recommended, or described by the Service

You acknowledge and agree that you use all information provided by GrowDo — including AI-generated content, plant identification results, toxicity warnings, and gardening recommendations — entirely at your own risk and discretion.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on liability for personal injury or certain types of damages, so some or all of these limitations may not apply to you. In such cases, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

10. Account Termination

10.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. This will permanently delete all your data.

10.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

Violate these Terms of Service
Engage in fraudulent activity
Fail to pay subscription fees
Use the Service in a way that harms other users or our systems

We will provide notice before termination unless immediate action is required for security or legal reasons.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or prominent notice in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.

13. Dispute Resolution

13.2 Governing Law
