Beta Programme Terms

1. Programme Overview

The GrowDo Beta Programme is an early access initiative that rewards beta testers with free access to premium features. By joining the programme, you help us improve GrowDo by testing features and providing feedback. In return, you receive phased access to premium tiers at no cost, with exclusive discounted pricing when you choose to subscribe.

2. Access Timeline

Your beta access is structured in three phases, beginning from your account creation date:

Phase 1: Pro Access (Months 1-2)

Full access to all Pro tier features, including AI Plant Identification, AI Garden Assistant, and Personalised Recommendations. This phase lasts 60 days from your signup date.

Phase 2: Plus Access (Months 2-14)

After your Pro access expires, you retain free access to all Plus tier features, including Sowing Planner, Analytics Dashboard, Weather Alerts, and Crop Rotation Planning. AI-powered features require a Pro subscription. This phase continues until 14 months after your signup date.

Phase 3: Free Tier (After 14 Months)

After the 14-month beta period ends, your account transitions to the Free tier. All your garden data, plans, and history are fully preserved. You may subscribe to Plus or Pro at any time to restore premium access.

3. Pricing During Beta

During the beta period (months 1-14), you may upgrade to a paid Pro or Plus subscription at a special 50% discount. You can subscribe at any point during the beta — including at signup — to secure your discounted rate. This allows you to retain Pro features beyond the initial 60-day free Pro phase.

  • 50% off Pro or Plus subscriptions during the entire 14-month beta period
  • Pro: £24.99/year (standard £49.99/year) — Plus: £14.99/year (standard £29.99/year)
  • You may subscribe at signup or at any time during the beta
  • If you subscribe during Phase 1, payment is deferred until your free Pro access ends after 2 months
  • The discount is applied automatically at checkout

4. Lifetime Beta Discount

As a thank you for being a beta tester, all beta users receive a permanent 15% lifetime discount on all future renewals after the beta period ends. This discount applies for as long as you maintain an active subscription.

  • 15% off the standard annual price on every renewal — for life
  • Pro renewals: £42.49/year (standard £49.99/year)
  • Plus renewals: £25.49/year (standard £29.99/year)
  • The lifetime discount is exclusive to beta programme members
  • The discount is applied automatically — no action required

5. 14-Day Cooling Off Period

All paid subscriptions purchased during or after the beta period are covered by a 14-day cooling off period. If you are not satisfied for any reason, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your payment date.

  • Refunds are processed automatically upon request within the 14-day window
  • To request a refund, contact us at support@growdo.app or use the in-app support option
  • Upon refund, your account reverts to your current beta phase access (Pro, Plus, or Free depending on your timeline)
  • The cooling off period applies to each new subscription or renewal

6. Post-Beta Pricing

If you have not subscribed during the beta period, you are still eligible for the beta tester benefits:

  • 50% off your first year of Plus or Pro subscription
  • 15% lifetime discount on all subsequent renewals
  • These discounts are exclusive to beta programme members and applied automatically

7. Notifications

You will receive in-app reminders before each phase transition. Reminders are sent at 14 days, 7 days, and 24 hours before your Pro access expires (at 60 days) and before your Plus access expires (at 14 months). Each reminder can be dismissed and will not reappear once acknowledged.

8. Data Retention

All your garden data, planting plans, inventory records, and account history are fully retained across all tier transitions. Downgrading from a higher tier does not delete any data — you simply lose access to premium features until you subscribe.

9. Modifications

GrowDo reserves the right to modify the terms of the Beta Programme, including access durations, pricing, and available features. Any changes will be communicated to beta participants via email or in-app notification with reasonable advance notice. Your continued use of the service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
